The El Paso Museum of Archaeology chronicles the stories of the cultures which first inhabited the Southwest. Exhibits and dioramas, covering times dating back to the Ice Age, incorporate authentic archaeological pieces with recreated structures and habitats. The museum is part of a 15-acre park situated about 10 miles north of the downtown area, close to the El Paso Community College, which includes nature trails and many native plants.
