Rolling hills along fairways and greens makes the 27-hole championship-style Painted Dunes Desert Golf Course a challenge for all golfers. The course is located north of El Paso, between Franklin Mountains State Park and the Fort Bliss Military Reservation. The 18-hole East/West course has won numerous awards in recent years, including a 4-1/2 star rating by Golf Digest in 2005.
